3 ways you can use visual fundraising for tributes & in memory giving

Visual fundraising is hugely versatile and can be used for many different types of fundraising. This blog describes the different ways it can be used for in memory fundraising.

1. In memory fundraising appeals

Every year, several dates come around that are particularly poignant for people who support your charity in memory of someone special. For example:

If you know that a lot of your supporters are likely to be thinking of a loved one at a certain time of year, why not invite them to celebrate the lives of their loved ones by sharing special memories and photos on a seasonal visual fundraising design?

2. Virtual memory trees for ongoing remembrance campaigns

If your charity is lucky enough to have a physical space that your supporters can visit, you may already have a beautiful sculpture or wall where loved ones' names are displayed. For example, many hospices have a memory tree in their reception area, with names engraved on golden leaves.

However, even if you don't have the luxury of space (or your supporters live too far away to visit your physical memorial), you can still create a virtual memory tree to invite donations and display names. View all virtual tree templates.

Or, if a tree doesn't suit the nature of your work, you might like to consider an alternative design that's suitable for all-year-round giving. For example:

3. Tribute pages

Your supporters can also use any template from the library to create their own visual fundraising pages. This is a beautiful way to pay tribute to a loved one, as they can invite friends and family to share photos and special memories on their special page. This is also an ideal way to collect funeral donations for charity.

Some people may choose a traditional tribute or funeral design. For example, sharing a photo of their loved one and inviting donations to light a virtual candle. View all tribute and funeral designs.

Some people may prefer to choose a design that reflects the personality or hobbies of the person they are remembering. We advise giving your supporters a choice of designs, and letting them choose their favourite template for their page.
